I just became a multimillionaire at the very popular Zynga Texas Hold ‘em Poker game and already I have received an email in my Facebook account telling me that I’ve been reported for abuse and what not. The message went on to say that if I don’t click the link they provided below within twelve hours my account will be banned.
Looking at the email, i.e., if this is the same email that a lot of folks fell for, I cannot imagine how people would actually click on the link provided in the message. I mean common sense would dictate that Zynga, a very popular and successful game developer would have at least a professional communication expert to send out their public memos or warnings. This email below is clearly written by somebody who is not very comfortable with the english language. Even some of the letters used appear to be foreign and not part of the english alphabet.
But anyway what’s done is done, and those poor souls who did click on the link provided in the hackers’ email have already learned their painful lesson on not taking everything at face value.
Below is the actual email message I received. I seriously doubt that this came from Zynga. If this is an official Zynga communication then surely they need to take a closer look at their hiring strategy.
